The "Dutchie Fisher Farm" is one of the most recognized farms in Lancaster County. The original house center was built in 1857 and was bought by the Fisher family in 1904. 2 additions were added in 1928 and in 1938 which included the "dawdy" end where the grandparents live. Currently, Elmer and Katie Fisher live in the "dawdihaus" and their daughter, Anna Lapp and her husband Elmer live in the farmhouse with their family.

In the late 80s & early 90s, Amish Neighbors Tours worked with Elmer & Katie to bring bus groups by the farm to learn about the Amish way of life first-hand. Their young children would come out and get on the coaches and answer questions about their life while selling items like cookbooks and horseshoes to the passengers. They'd speak in both English and then in Pennsylvania Dutch so that people could learn a couple of words or phrases. Many times they'd end the visit with a song as they said goodbye and got off the bus. Groups looked forward to this stop for many years because they would actually get to "meet" the Amish. Unfortunately, when the children grew up, we stopped visiting.

Now, fortunately, Anna Lapp (the youngest of the Fisher girls) and her husband, Elmer, have moved back to the farm and they want to give their 8 children the wonderful experiences and life lessons Anna obtained by going on the busses and meeting people from all over the world. The Lapps are working exclusively with Amish Neighbors Tours to offer the most unique tour that Lancaster has to offer.
